This position is located at Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Relocation and Recruitment Incentives maybe authorized. Salary Range: UP to- $72,644 per year
Requirements
- US Citizenship required
- This position requires the employee to possess and maintain American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification.
- Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of difficult examinations within Diagnostic Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging division.
- Set up and adjust accessory equipment and make exposures necessary for the requested procedure.
- Advise radiologist or referring physician of results of examination and provide them with a preliminary diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare and administer contrast material.
- Follow all required Magnetic Resonance Imaging safety protocols.
