About The Position

We are seeking a passionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Renton campus faculty. Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an academic institution accredited by an agency recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical, hands-on occupational experience as a Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist.
• Active Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential through ARDMS.
• Active credential in Abdomen (AB) and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• Active Washington state licensure or certification as required by local, state, or federal laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and educational technology.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging daily lesson plans, classroom lectures, and practical demonstrations aligned with program objectives.
• Lead lab sessions, demonstrate proper scanning procedures, provide hands-on assistance, and strictly enforce laboratory safety protocols.
• Coordinate guest lectures, community service opportunities, and clinical site visits; may assist with student externship coordination.
• Evaluate student performance, adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles, and maintain office hours to advise students on curriculum progression.
• Proactively monitor performance and attendance to maintain an 80%+ student success rate across all courses.
• Collaborate with Student Services and the Associate Director to support at-risk students (e.g., course averages below 77% or consecutive absences).
• Maintain accurate student grades per institutional policies, submit weekly attendance reports, and prepare final grades at course completion.
