About The Position

Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Director for our Denver campus. This role involves leading faculty, guiding curriculum and student success, and overseeing the program's continued growth. The position offers an opportunity to bring expertise into education and make a lasting impact on the profession, whether coming from higher education or clinical leadership. A typical day may involve collaborating with campus leadership, mentoring faculty, reviewing curriculum, teaching a lab, or meeting with a student. The Program Director leads the people, education, and operations to keep the program moving forward.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution recognized by USDE or CHEA.
• Graduation from an accredited Sonography program.
• Active RDMS credential through ARDMS.
• At least two active registries: Abdomen (AB), Vascular Technology (RVT/VS), and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• At least three years of full-time clinical experience as a registered Sonographer.
• Active Colorado state licensure or credentials as required.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor faculty, including the Clinical Director and instructional staff.
• Guide curriculum and educational standards.
• Support student success and retention.
• Manage departmental budgets and program growth.
• Teach DMS courses or labs as needed.
• Ensure institutional, regulatory, and accrediting compliance.
