About The Position

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures used to evaluate, diagnose, and treat disease. This is a night-shift position at Maine Medical Center. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered; current MaineHealth employees are not eligible and must have been separated from the organization for at least six months. Relocation assistance is available for approved offers.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Sonography, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that makes the candidate eligible for ARDMS registration.
• Current ARDMS certification or full registration in at least one specialty area, as expected by departmental or local health system requirements.
• Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 30 days of the start date.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience is preferred.
