About The Position

CCRM Fertility is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform OB/GYN and infertility ultrasound procedures using various transducers, ultrasound imaging equipment, and Doppler technology. The role follows physicians’ direction on specific patient care, recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and functions independently while reporting to the Practice Administrator. The position is based at 300 Boylston St, Suite 300, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, with hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The sonographer performs diagnostic imaging and related patient education, documents and communicates findings, and supports efficient patient care and clinic operations. The role also coordinates ultrasound staffing, serves as a liaison between the ultrasound team and physicians, provides staff feedback and counseling, assists the Practice Administrator with staff-related processes, and helps maintain the team’s AIUM accreditation. The job operates in a professional office, clinical, and/or laboratory setting. It involves routine use of standard office equipment and interaction with others while ensuring compliance with medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies to maintain patient and staff safety.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDS) certification.
ARDMS certification and maintenance of active status through continuing education.

Two years of previous OB/GYN or infertility experience.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic OB/GYN and infertility ultrasound procedures using various transducers.
Perform ultrasound procedures during embryo transfers, Doppler procedures, and 3D ultrasounds.
Use Tricare to import scans accurately and promptly to the patient EMR.
Recognize cross-sectional anatomy, differentiate normal and abnormal structures, and assess pathology viewed while scanning.
Educate patients about procedures and communicate information as appropriate during visualization of anatomy.
Address concerns or abnormal findings with a physician in a timely manner.
Communicate ultrasound findings to physicians, nurse practitioners, or nurse coordinators and record findings in the EMR.
Organize the daily work schedule and coordinate efficient patient care flow between procedures.
Mark the superbill appropriately to charge patients for services provided.
Clean equipment and exam beds between patients using germicidal solution.
Re-order equipment and supplies as needed and reconcile packing slips for the business office.
Coordinate daily ultrasound staffing to ensure adequate staffing at all offices.
Serve as a liaison between the ultrasound team and physicians to support high-quality patient care.
Counsel ultrasound staff regarding issues and provide performance feedback.
Assist the Practice Administrator with interviewing, hiring, counseling, and disciplinary or termination processes for ultrasound staff.
Ensure the ultrasound team maintains its AIUM accreditation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
