As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will provide quality patient care, perform high-quality images and exams, and act as a clinical resource and role model for unit personnel. You will maintain sensitivity to patient needs, demonstrate leadership abilities, and ensure current standards of practice for the unit, contributing to the excellence of the medical imaging department. This role requires strong technical proficiency in medical sonography, a commitment to patient-centered care and quality imaging, and the ability to serve as a resource for best practices within the unit.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • ARDMS registered RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT)ARDMS registered RVT(VT) or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT);or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One (1) year of ultrasound experience
  • For the state of UT: LRT

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retro peritoneal, small parts and vascular.
  • May perform cardiac procedures as required by entity.
  • Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
  • Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
