Diagnostic Medical Sonographers use imaging devices that emit sound waves to create the image that will help physicians assess and diagnose various conditions. There are different kinds of imaging devices, this includes ultrasounds, sonograms, and echocardiograms. Generally sonographic imaging devices use a handheld probe, which is moved over the area being surveyed to create a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image. These devices can be used for therapy, diagnosis, and even to guide interventional procedures like biopsies or draining fluid collections. By joining the team as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will get to work with critical patients, assisting with identifying the medical issue to inform the diagnosis and develop the care plan. This is a collaborative team that has trust within one another and truly enjoys helping people on a day-to-day basis. This opportunity provides hands-on learning and the ability to enhance your skills each day at an elite healthcare organization. A PRN (as needed) caregiver in this position works varying shifts.
