About The Position

Onsite, provides the finest medical ultrasound imaging in South Florida. As a fast-growing, privately-owned company, we have been delivering exceptional mobile diagnostic services for over a decade. We are currently expanding our team and looking for talented, multi-specialty sonographers to join us. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional that is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. Your duties include performing routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients as well as possible multi-specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
  • Florida driver’s license
  • Personal automobile
  • Fluent in speaking English (Spanish preferred)
  • Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification - (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI)
  • 2-3 Year OB/GYN experience (Required)
  • CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)
  • Accredited Program: Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Prior work is experience required.
  • Must be registered in ARDMS (AB, OBGYN, RVT, BR, or PS).

Nice To Haves

  • Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
  • Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
  • Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate effectively with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.
