About The Position

St. Anthony Summit Hospital is a Level III trauma center recognized for patient experience and as a Top 100 Hospital. It is also a Pathway to Excellence-designated hospital, recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The hospital provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Summit County and the surrounding region. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Lead, you will provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and following safe radiation practices. You will also demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit.

Requirements

  • Two years of ultrasound experience
  • High School or GED required
  • ARDMS - registered RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS) (ARRT)
  • ARDMS registered RVT(VT) or ARRT registered - R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT);or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
  • BLS through the American Heart Association required
  • Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
  • Perform high quality images and exams on patients.
  • Maintain sensitivity to patient needs while following standards of safe radiation practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists.
  • Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel.
  • Assure current standards of practice for the unit.
