About The Position

As the Full Asset Potential Diagnostic Intern, you will support our core diagnostic program while learning to solve real-world mining challenges, influence key stakeholders, and master project management fundamentals. This is a project-based internship. Rather than generalized administrative tasks, you will be assigned a core technical project to own from start to finish. This role offers hands-on experience, culminating in an end-of-program presentation to technical leadership.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's student pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or a closely related field.
• Foundational knowledge and experience working in open pit or underground mine, or associated processing plants
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fluid, unstructured environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships and influence outcomes.
• Well versed in leveraging AI tools (Gemini, Claude, etc.)
• A collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel to project sites if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.
• Clean, analyze, and model complex datasets related to mining, mobile fleet, and/or process plant metrics across gold mines
• Engage stakeholders to validate data and models.
• Set data-driven performance targets and garner mine-site support.
• Guide mine-site personnel through project ideation and planning process to close gap to targets.
