The Department of Radiology Health Physics at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking a non-tenure line Diagnostic Medical Physicist (Assistant Professor) to support imaging physics activities at the College and Penn State Health's five medical centers and numerous outpatient clinics. This position will provide physics support for a customizable selection of modalities (radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT, ultrasound, mammographic, MR, or nuclear medicine/PET imaging). Some experience with MR and MR safety is preferred. Core responsibilities include advanced imaging clinical support, acceptance testing, supervision of physicist assistants, quality assurance oversight, and education/training of technologists, physicist assistants, medical residents, and physicians. Additional responsibilities include ACR accreditation support, radiation shielding and dosimetry calculations, clinical research support, and routine performance testing. The successful candidate will join our group of 7 diagnostic/medical health physicists, two MR safety officers, two medical physicist assistants, and two administrative assistants in a growing academic health system with state-of-the-art equipment and clinical care.
