About The Position

Under general supervision of the Radiology Support Supervisor and the Lead technologists, and according to established policies and procedures, this role provides assistance to patients, their significant others, technologists, physicians and other hospital personnel as assigned or needed in a professional and courteous manner. The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of their job. They explain procedures to patients, giving them the opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED
• Strong computer proficiency
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• Previous Windows experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm
• Excellent telephone etiquette required.
• Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS, is preferred.
