Diagnostic Imaging Assistant - CT Department - Nights
About The Position
Under general supervision of the Radiology Support Supervisor and the Lead technologists, and according to established policies and procedures, this role provides assistance to patients, their significant others, technologists, physicians and other hospital personnel as assigned or needed in a professional and courteous manner. The position emphasizes delivering and ensuring customer service in all aspects of the job. The assistant will explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED
- Strong computer proficiency required.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous Windows experience is required.
- Excellent telephone etiquette required.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles, preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy with keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm preferred.
- Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS, is preferred.
