About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant Senior will be responsible for greeting patients, assisting with patient issues, scheduling, checking in, registering, and verifying information for patients. This role involves inputting patient information into the EPIC system with high accuracy, contacting doctors' offices and patients as needed to obtain orders, and regular communication with technical staff. The position also includes assisting with secretarial duties as needed, with an emphasis on proper documentation and courteous patient contact.

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent
CPR certification required.
1-2 years of prior secretarial supervisory experience
Medical terminology preferred.
Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required
typing 25-35 wpm

Responsibilities

Greet all patients coming into the Mammography department and assist with patient issues
Schedule, check in, register, and verify information for patients
Input patient information into the EPIC system with high accuracy
Responsible for other related duties as requested, with an emphasis on proper documentation and courteous patient contact
Contacts doctors’ offices and patients as needed to obtain order
Regular communication with technical staff
Assisting with secretarial duties as needed.
