About The Position

Vancouver Clinic has a rare opportunity for an impactful Registered Dietitian/Diabetes Educator who has a passion for providing education and training for diabetes patients! Responsibilities include providing individualized diabetes self-management education, including skills training, education, and self-management care, to patients with all types of diabetes and their family members. Provides individualized medical nutrition therapy to patients with any nutrition-related diagnosis. In this role, you may also work with our transitional care clinic to provide nutrition and diabetes education to their patients. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. This includes care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender affirming treatment. The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas, is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nutrition or related field required
  • RDs credentialed prior to 01/01/2024, Bachelor's degree is required
  • WA State certification as Registered Dietitian (RD) required
  • Experience training patients on the use of CGMs and insulin pumps.
  • Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) strongly preferred.
  • RD with a minimum of 2 years providing diabetes care and/or education in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
