Work conditions may include exposure to outdoor weather, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to drilling performance and data interpretation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer proficiency and experience with data analysis tools
  • Comfortable with public speaking and delivering technical presentations
  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to perform physical job requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for technical and field work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of drill bit or drilling experience
  • Experience with industry tools such as Bithub, GameChanger, Wellscan, and Table AU

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oil and gas drilling operations or PDC drill bit sales
  • Knowledge of drilling applications, bit design, and performance optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with drilling data analysis software and tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor engineering team members; develop and deliver technical and sales training in collaboration with the Engineering Manager
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Down Hole Tool applications and provide technical recommendations to optimize drilling programs
  • Analyze drilling data and perform performance studies to improve tool performance in critical applications
  • Provide high-level technical support to customers in both field and office environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to develop, test, and improve tool designs
  • Recommend product improvements or obsolescence based on application-specific needs
  • Communicate product performance, features, and benefits to customers and internal teams
  • Conduct performance analysis on trial runs and track PUK and directional performance data
  • Investigate dull conditions and perform problem-solving related to tool performance
  • Perform international data analysis to support global operations
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and support sales growth initiatives
  • Provide onsite rig support and participate in customer meetings and presentations
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and performance data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align customer needs, product design, and sales strategies
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
