About The Position

You’ll work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, test, service, and design partners while having protected time to focus on DFX, standards, and system‑level improvements that make the site and operations stronger over time. What this role entails: Lead Design‑for‑X (DFX) efforts across manufacturing and test to improve quality, cost, yield, and scalability Drive NPI readiness activities including PFMEAs, control plans, validations, and manufacturing/test capability assessments Develop and standardize manufacturing and test processes, platforms, and automation strategies across product families Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues, with a focus on permanent, systemic fixes rather than short‑term containment Partner with engineering, operations, and service teams to translate sustaining issues into long‑term design and process improvements impacting Quality, Delivery, and Cost Team environment: You will be part of the Everett Operations Engineering team, a growing and highly collaborative group supporting both manufacturing and service operations. The team works closely with production, test/metrology, materials, and service organizations, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, clear ownership, and measurable KPI impact. The environment is hands‑on, technically challenging, and oriented toward building durable systems — not relying on heroics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or DFX‑focused roles in a regulated or high‑reliability environment
  • Demonstrated experience with NPI readiness, PFMEAs, control plans, and process/test validation
  • Experience driving process improvements, standardization, or automation initiatives
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining a long‑term systems view
