About The Position

Provides high-quality care to patients undergoing bone density imaging. Performs Dexa (DXA) examinations with specialty equipment and in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate image acquisition, proper patient positioning, and a safe, comfortable experience throughout the procedure.

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to insert and IV and perform phlebotomy.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment. Operates Dexa scanners and related imaging equipment safely and effectively in accordance with established protocols.
  • Explains procedures to patients to reduce their anxiety and obtain patient cooperation. Monitors patients during the procedure to ensure they are comfortable and to check for any adverse reactions. Must also follow strict protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Responsible for acquiring, processing, and photographing optimum exams for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
  • Assists with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequence as outlined in study protocol.
  • Responsible for completing all aspects of patient care documentation as required per study.
  • Enters procedures in research systems such as Clinical Conductor.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
  • Operates all equipment, and supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies
