The DevOps Technical Engineer serves as an infrastructure and operations subject matter expert, aligning projects with scalable Cloud/DevOps solutions, identifying infrastructure and security risks, implementing CI/CD and automation prototypes, and representing and mentoring development and operations teams. The position supports product teams with solution architectures, environment setups, and deployment estimates. It co-owns internal starter kits, infrastructure-as-code templates, and accelerators and tools that encourage reuse, automated deployment, and industry best practices. The role works with product, development, security, and architecture teams on infrastructure design, environment provisioning, and cloud deployment opportunities. It provides guidance on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, containerization, and site reliability; leads discovery sessions; designs secure, compliant, highly available cloud and on-premises deployment patterns; and documents architecture decisions, topology maps, and operational runbooks. Hands-on work includes prototyping tools such as API gateways and ingress controllers; managing Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS and self-managed or on-premises EC2; maintaining GitLab and SonarQube instances; developing Shell and YAML scripts, Helm charts, and deployment pipelines; and operating monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Kibana. The engineer also promotes containerization, GitOps, and cloud-native practices. The posting additionally calls for hands-on work with AWS Secrets Manager, S3, ECR, Cognito, and Certificate Manager, and understanding pipeline stages, image generation, and Docker image deployment. Salesforce, GraphQL, and React experience are described as value-adds.
