About The Position

This hybrid-role is based in our London, Ontario offices. You will be expected to be in the office 3 days per week. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer Student who is interested in learning how modern software platforms are built, deployed, monitored, and supported at scale. This role offers hands-on experience working with development and operations teams to improve automation, reliability, and delivery of software systems. As part of a cross-functional team, you will help support the infrastructure and tooling that enables developers to safely and efficiently build, test, release, and operate applications. You will gain exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and production monitoring while being supported by experienced engineers and mentors. This role is ideal for students completing a co-op or internship as part of their academic program and returning to school following their work term.

Requirements

  • Currently in your second-year or higher and pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Interest in how software systems run in production, not just how they are written
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable learning new tools, technologies, and environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines used to build, test, and deploy applications
  • Assist with automation of infrastructure and environments using scripts or configuration tools
  • Help monitor application and system health, responding to alerts and incidents as appropriate
  • Troubleshoot issues across development, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with software developers to improve reliability, performance, and deployment practices
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on stability, security, and efficiency
