About The Position

Faria is seeking a Middle DevOps/SRE Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team. This role is crucial for maintaining the reliability, security, and speed of Faria's multi-cloud production environment. The engineer will be involved in various aspects of infrastructure management, from research and proof-of-concepts for new applications to deployment automation, security hardening, and daily support for developers. The team operates on a follow-the-sun model, ensuring continuous support and operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years in DevOps/SRE, including hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong AWS knowledge: EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, EKS, ECS, Lambda, ELB (ALB/NLB), CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, Secrets Manager, SES, Security Hub, Inspector.
• Azure knowledge: App Service, Container Apps, Front Door, CDN, Azure SQL Database, Storage Accounts, Virtual Network (VNet), Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Containers & orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD & version control: GitHub Actions, solid Git workflow.
• Proficiency in Scripting: Bash and Python.
• Experience with Linux administration, networking, firewalls, web servers (Nginx/Apache).
• Experience with Monitoring & observability: Prometheus (Kubernetes), Grafana, ELK, Loki, incident management with PagerDuty.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and SLA-based incident response.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured, methodical approach.
• English B2+.

Nice To Haves

• AWS/Azure certifications.
• Alibaba Cloud experience.
• Experience with Ruby, Python, C# web application frameworks (deploying and troubleshooting).
• Basic understanding of disaster recovery & database backups (PITR, restore procedures).
• Experience with compliance-driven environments (GDPR, ISO 27001, China data residency).
• Cost optimization / FinOps awareness.
• Experience with AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and improve production infrastructure across AWS and Azure (including China regions).
• Automate deployments and infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactively improve stability, performance, and security to prevent incidents.
• Respond to incidents within SLA, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause fixes.
• Support developers with infrastructure-related questions and unblock their work.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
