About The Position

Syntiant Corp. is seeking an experienced DevOps Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to enhance its Software Engineering function. The role builds, maintains, and improves machine learning applications deployed on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and an on-premises machine learning cluster, working across cloud and on-premises environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Python and experience using FastAPI for API development.
Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, including deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud infrastructure services such as S3, RDS, and VPCs.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
Strong understanding of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and NFS.
Experience with on-premises storage solutions such as Ceph.
Expertise in Linux system administration.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud-native observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Familiarity with Kubernetes operators and Helm charts.
Knowledge of on-premises container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar technologies.
Experience with DevOps best practices and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Integrate data sources and services, including MongoDB and Postgres, for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
Collaborate across teams to integrate cloud-native tools and practices.
Maintain on-premises servers running Ceph, PostgreSQL, and NFS services.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
