About The Position

The DevOps Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, evaluating, and modifying end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire lifecycle. This role involves a holistic approach to system development and integration, establishing standards, practices, and procedures for overall product development, and designing interfaces to integrate system elements to ensure they function together as a complete system. The lead will assess system performance using evaluation criteria, participate in system conceptual design, and support documentation of design concepts. They will also take part in design reviews of hardware and software components to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. This is a leadership position requiring experience in orchestrating the development of complex solutions, from challenge identification through full operational capability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an area applicable to the position, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 10 years experience with a Master's degree, or a minimum of 8 years experience with a Ph.D. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active.
  • Experience in positions of leadership and mentorship of junior/mid-grade personnel.
  • Experience work with the AWS Cloud (EC2s, S3, RDS, ElasticCache).
  • CI/CD tools: Git.
  • Linux Sysadmin experience.
  • Experience installing, updating, and managing Server certificates and trust stores/keystores.
  • Willing to work full time in a SCIF.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with OpenShift, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, Ansible, Wildfly.
  • Experience working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Wildfly, Docker, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory.
  • Experience implementing STIG hardening, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Leading a Kanban DevOps team.
  • Managing multiple environments (development, testing and production).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products across their entire lifecycle.
  • Use a holistic approach to support system development and integration.
  • Establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development.
  • Design interfaces and integrate system elements to ensure they function together as a complete system.
  • Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and support documentation of design concepts.
  • Take part in design reviews of hardware and software components to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
  • Implement DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Artifactory.
  • Perform security hardening, patching, and server certificate updates.
  • Work with and maintain a proficient understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including cost estimations.
  • Lead the development of documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides.
  • Orchestrate the development of complex solutions, from challenge identification through full operational capability of the identified solution.
