I2X Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Top Secret Clearance. As a DevOPS Cloud engineer Global team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • An Active Final TOP SECRET clearance is needed prior to starting
  • Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570/8140 certification such as Security+ CE or equivalent within three months of starting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat Openstack, or Nutanix
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration
  • Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
  • Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible
  • Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Scrum Master experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using a variety of technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.
  • Must be a detail oriented individual that is able to track the impact of events/actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance.
