About The Position

As a DevOps Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- 15+ years of related experience
- A strong DevOps background
- Experience with Linux AWS, MASH, and VMs
- Experience with Docker Swarm
- Experience with Deployments of distributed web applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)
- Experience with Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
- Experience with Ansible scripting and development
- Thorough understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
- Experience with Git
- TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance
- US citizenship required

- NiFi maintenance and configuration
- Elasticsearch maintenance and configuration
- Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)

Responsibilities
- Deploy applications
- Install and configure complex software
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Monitor and maintain the system for required levels of performance
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks).
