About The Position

Dynanet Corporation is hiring an onsite, full-time DevOps Engineer. The role requires ownership of cloud and platform architecture from initial design through hands-on implementation and ongoing maintenance. The engineer will configure, deploy, and operate cloud-native Kubernetes environments; build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform; and address encryption, security, availability, disaster recovery, and operational observability. The position also involves working with cloud database platforms, event-driven architectures, enterprise identity and access management, private connectivity, and CI/CD automation. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, clients, and business partners in a fast-paced, client-facing delivery environment, including supporting federal agency IT services.

Requirements

Mandatory, non-negotiable experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Strong architecture experience across compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
Ability to own architecture end to end, from design to implementation and maintenance.
Experience configuring, deploying, and operating cloud-native Kubernetes deployments.
Experience with encryption at rest and in transit for cloud infrastructure.
Experience operating one or more cloud database platforms, including knowledge of read replicas, scaling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Knowledge of enterprise-scale IAM and RBAC.
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and secure baseline controls.
Experience with secrets, Key Vault, and certificate and key lifecycle management.
Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery design, including availability zones, regional failover, and backup strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative approach and ability to work across engineering, security, and compliance teams.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, client-facing delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end architecture, from whiteboard design through implementation and maintenance.
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Configure, deploy, and operate cloud-native Kubernetes deployments.
Apply encryption at rest and in transit across cloud infrastructure.
Operate cloud database platforms, including cloud-native database services; work with read replicas, scaling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Design and implement event-driven architecture.
Work with enterprise-scale IAM and RBAC.
Develop security architecture based on Zero Trust principles and secure baseline controls.
Manage secrets, certificates, and key lifecycles, including use of Key Vault.
Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines.
Implement private connectivity, including Private Endpoints, DNS, and name-resolution patterns.
Support observability and operations using Azure Monitor.
Design high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including availability zones, regional failover, and backups.
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, clients, and business partners.
Respond to team member and client requests through email, MS Teams, or other communication channels during core business hours.
Prioritize competing work and support IT services delivery for the federal agencies Dynanet serves.
