About The Position

Insulet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team within our Software Research and Development organization. As an Associate DevOps Engineer you will support the design, maintenance, and operation of continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines used to build, package, test, and deploy products. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will help automate repetitive processes, support software release activities, and contribute to continuous improvement across development teams.

Requirements

Enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant engineering program.
Clear and effective communication with diverse teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders.
Attentively listen to others, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Taking initiative to identify and solve problems before they escalate.
Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches based on changing circumstances and feedback.
Foundational understanding of DevOps and configuration management concepts.
Basic scripting experience to help automate repetitive processes, including exposure to tools such as Python, Ant, Gradle, Maven, or similar technologies.
Exposure to source control using Git.
Exposure to repositories such as GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab, or Google Cloud Source Repositories.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or GitLab.
Familiarity with functional programming and object-oriented programming concepts.
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and basic command-line usage.
Exposure to Docker Containers.
Coursework, internship, co-op, or professional exposure to CI/CD pipelines, tools, and infrastructure for applications deployed on premises or in the cloud.
Exposure to software configuration management (SCM) environments, branching strategies, and source control workflows.
Ability to support development, test, integration, and production environments under the guidance of more experienced team members.
Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship needs.

Responsibilities

Monitor CI/CD pipeline runs, investigate basic failures, and escalate recurring or complex issues to senior DevOps team members.
Maintain build and deployment documentation, including runbooks, setup steps, and troubleshooting notes for supported tools and environments.
Assist with routine DevOps operational tasks such as access requests, environment checks, release support activities, and tool configuration updates.
