About The Position

TJX Companies is seeking students for their Merchandising Co-op Program, running from January to June 2027. This program offers a semester-long co-op experience at TJX's Corporate Home Office in Framingham, MA. Requirements

• Current Sophomores, & Juniors
• Genuine interest in a career in Retail
• Genuine interest in Merchandising
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to think critically and creatively solve problems
• Genuine interest in retail, product, and in following trends
• Excellent communicators who work well in teams
• Proven leadership abilities and a strong work ethic
• Sense of curiosity for an ever-changing retail landscape
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Detail oriented
• Proficient Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assigned to Planning & Allocation or Buying
• Analyze sales trends and reports to anticipate consumer buying patterns and product trends
• Create and implement allocation strategies for our stores and / or e-commerce sites
• Accompany Buyers on local, virtual, or on-site vendor visits
• Strategize with Buyers before vendor visits and debrief post-visit
• Visit stores to analyze our product mix as well as our competitors
• Resolve merchandise issues with our Distribution Centers, Buyers, and Vendors
