DevOps Engineer
About The Position
As a Software Factory DevOps Engineer, you will design, test, and program critical applications and pipeline software development from requirements through production testing. You will use automation and cloud resources to reduce repetitive tasks and help developers focus on innovation. Working with fellow professionals, you will implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to reduce manual testing and troubleshooting. The role offers opportunities to broaden software engineering experience and access continuing education resources, tuition assistance, and technology development programs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity through automation of builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releases across environments.
- At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
- Experience building enterprise cloud-native solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Experience with automation, Terraform infrastructure as code, and shell scripting.
- Experience working with Agile application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with DevOps platforms, application-level work, pipeline build and development, and automation supporting build and testing.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of DevOps experience in lieu of a degree.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple cloud service providers and technical stacks.
- Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to open-source and commercial tools in government cloud environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Linux Shell Script, PowerShell, and Python.
- Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree.
- Security+ certification.
