About The Position

Apple's Events, Streaming and Broadcast Services (ESB) team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. Our team manages and maintains the software development for Events and streaming applications - both frontend and backend, the infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines and other related tooling. We are passionate about continuously improving the way we enable the software development lifecycle and we're looking for like-minded individuals like you who wants to continuously automate and improve their environment. In your role you will support engineering teams and provide operational support for large-scale backend systems deployed across hybrid cloud environments like Kubernetes on AWS and on-premise infrastructure. The Events, Streaming and Broadcast (ESB) team provides the cloud-based infrastructure for multiple backend production systems that enable applications and/or services that touch several thousands of people internal and external. In this role, you will champion innovation by leveraging modern generative AI tools to accelerate documentation, optimize workflows. Our team paves the way for engineering teams to develop and roll out new features. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining this critical infrastructure and automation. You will enhance our CI/CD capabilities, manage Kubernetes deployments across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, and develop custom tools to boost developer efficiency. You'll also explore and integrate Generative AI to optimize our processes.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development.
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
• 5+ years in Python, or other languages.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and Configuration as Code.
• Working experience with the SDLC, including Continuous Integration and Agile development practices.
• Working experience with Infrastructure as Code systems like Pulumi, and Terraform.
• Working experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Grafana, and GitOps.
• Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCE.
• Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
• Experience with development environments such as Xcode, Swift.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
• Comfortable and adaptable in a high-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, methodical AND creative thinker committed to driving quality forward.
• Self-motived, passionate about DevOps, enjoys a steep learning curve.
• Hands on experience in Gen AI technologies.
• Utilizing Generative AI assistants to accelerate the work process.
