About The Position

We are seeking a "jack of all trades" DevOps Engineer with a strong understanding of alerting, monitoring, and application functionality. This role requires some development background and the ability to handle reporting tasks and other project-related initiatives. You will be responsible for executing migrations across non-production and production environments, managing cutover, rollback, and validation activities, and troubleshooting issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers. Automation development using Java/Python/.NET, support for deployment (Harness), configuration, and data validation automation, CI/CD, OCP, and UNIX/Linux support are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • UNIX/Linux Support
  • Database Migration experience (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Infrastructure & Networking configuration (DNS, load balancing, firewall rules)
  • Job Scheduling experience (AutoSys jobs)
  • Observability experience (Splunk onboarding, logging, alerting, monitoring)
  • Testing & Validation experience (QA, smoke, post-migration testing)
  • Documentation & Reporting skills (runbooks, SOPs, architecture diagrams, migration status reports)

Responsibilities

  • Execute migrations across non-prod and prod environments
  • Manage cutover, rollback, and validation activities
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, DB, and infrastructure layers
  • Develop automation using Java/Python/.NET
  • Support deployment (Harness), configuration, and data validation automation CI/CD, OCP
  • Manage and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux environments
  • Perform system validation and performance checks
  • Migrate DB configurations and data (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Perform validation, reconciliation, and connectivity checks
  • Coordinate with DBA teams
  • Configure DNS, load balancing, and firewall rules
  • Support integration with target data center
  • Manage and validate AutoSys jobs
  • Ensure batch processing stability post-migration
  • Perform Splunk onboarding
  • Validate logging, alerting, and monitoring
  • Execute QA, smoke, and post-migration testing
  • Identify and remediate defects
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams
  • Produce migration status reports and dashboards
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation
