About The Position

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to join our team. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a strong emphasis on high availability, scalability, and security. You will be responsible for optimizing various AWS services, implementing Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring system health, and collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and robust disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency in managing EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and RDS databases
• Experience with networking components (VPCs, security groups, load balancers)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
• Understanding of security compliance for cloud-based systems

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), focusing on high availability, scalability, and security.
• Manage and optimize EC2 instances for various workloads, including compute performance, autoscaling, and cost efficiency.
• Set up and manage S3 buckets for storage solutions, ensuring proper permissions, versioning, and lifecycle policies.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor RDS databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and backups.
• Implement and manage networking components such as VPCs, security groups, and load balancers to ensure secure and scalable architecture.
• Develop and maintain automated infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health using tools such as CloudWatch, ensuring proactive identification of potential issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployment and infrastructure.
• Ensure backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and security compliance for cloud-based systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest AWS features and best practices to continuously improve and optimize cloud solutions.
