About The Position

This role is for a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities that support healthcare applications and services. The position requires hands-on expertise across Azure and AWS, infrastructure automation with Terraform, YAML-based pipelines, and DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub. The role supports services provided to the federal government or a federal government contractor, thus requiring US Citizenship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in both Azure and AWS.
  • Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments).
  • Have completed a program of study typically requiring four years of post-secondary education or higher educational attainment in Computer Science or a technical related field.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance.
  • Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux).
  • Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch.
  • Have certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with containerized workloads is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement.
  • Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards.
  • Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services; familiarity with containerized workloads is a plus.
  • Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments.
  • Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews.
  • Troubleshooting and remediating complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Includes weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotations.
