DevOps Engineer : W2 role
About The Position
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a DevOps Engineer focused on supporting the deployment and launch of a customer-facing technology platform. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS, building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities include supporting live production applications, troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, implementing observability, managing infrastructure as code, and ensuring security and compliance best practices. The engineer will also contribute to improving deployment processes, automation, and platform reliability, and may assist with application development and code-level troubleshooting. A key aspect of the role is evaluating and leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or a related software engineering role
- Strong experience supporting AWS-based environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting production applications in cloud environments
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, modify and improve live software
- Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment tooling
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and successful launch of a customer-facing technology platform
- Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS
- Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
- Support and modify live production applications while identifying bugs and implementing fixes
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis through resolution
- Monitor application performance, system reliability and infrastructure health
- Implement observability, logging, alerting and incident response processes
- Manage infrastructure as code and environment configuration
- Support security, compliance and operational best practices
- Continuously improve deployment processes, automation and platform reliability
- Partner with engineering teams to streamline development workflows
- Contribute to application development and code-level troubleshooting when needed
- Evaluate and leverage AI-powered tools to improve productivity, automation and operational effectiveness
