DevOps Engineer : W2 role
About The Position
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a DevOps Engineer. The role involves supporting the deployment and launch of a customer-facing technology platform, designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, and building/optimizing CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will collaborate with various teams, support live production applications, troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and implement observability solutions. Responsibilities also include managing infrastructure as code, adhering to security best practices, and continuously improving deployment processes. The role may also involve contributing to application development and leveraging AI-powered tools for productivity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or a related software engineering role
- Strong experience supporting AWS-based environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting production applications in cloud environments
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, modify and improve live software
- Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment tooling
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities
- Support the deployment and successful launch of a customer-facing technology platform
- Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure within AWS
- Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product leaders and business stakeholders
- Support and modify live production applications while identifying bugs and implementing fixes
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis through resolution
- Monitor application performance, system reliability and infrastructure health
- Implement observability, logging, alerting and incident response processes
- Manage infrastructure as code and environment configuration
- Support security, compliance and operational best practices
- Continuously improve deployment processes, automation and platform reliability
- Partner with engineering teams to streamline development workflows
- Contribute to application development and code-level troubleshooting when needed
- Evaluate and leverage AI-powered tools to improve productivity, automation and operational effectiveness
