About The Position

Republic Finance, LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to be responsible for the overall release, deployment, and availability of enterprise applications. This role involves coordinating with development teams to automate the consistent delivery of both legacy and greenfield products, while maintaining high-level compliance with internal standards, policies, and procedures. The engineer will ensure applicable and accurate monitoring of all work and their associated dependencies, and incorporate support for new technologies within deployment automation as required. The position focuses on engineering build and deploy strategies that maintain minimal feedback cycles with development teams, translating development requirements into infrastructural needs, and facilitating a low-friction, high-velocity approach to software delivery in support of an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Technology, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, AWS Cloud Engineer, or a related occupation in a development, application, or technology support role in the financial sector.
• Experience in engineering and supporting automated software delivery systems.
• Experience with physical and virtual (cloud) data center technologies including servers, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with one or more modern programming languages.
• Experience with one or more modern scripting languages.
• Understanding of concepts and principles behind ALM and SDLC.
• Experience with containerization technologies in a production capacity.
• Experience detailing business and IT processes.
• Experience conceptually reverse-engineering existing solutions to understand architecture and logic.
• Experience with Windows server administration, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Experience maintaining high levels of security awareness, diligence, and compliance.
• Experience making appropriate recommendations regarding modern build, test, provision, and deploy technologies.
