DevOps Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and improving infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring robust monitoring and troubleshooting. As a bridge between development and operations, the DevOps Engineer will enhance collaboration and communication, integrating security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure services.
- Proficiency in managing AWS environments and an in-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS management, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Expertise in troubleshooting tools and experience with SSL Certificates in Apache stacks.
- Familiarity with server virtualization and monitoring tools.
- Competence in scripting and automation with Python, Ruby, or Bash/TCsh shell.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of our multiple production systems.
- Facilitate cross-functional development and provide high-level service and support on our development and high-volume production systems.
- Provision and manage infrastructure, utilizing IaC tools for automation and configuration.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Monitor the health and performance of IT infrastructure and applications, identifying and addressing issues to ensure optimal operations.
- Foster communication and collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Manage version control and configuration using tools like GitHub, Puppet, and Chef.
- Integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Engage with containerization technologies and cloud-native solutions to enhance deployment strategies.
