About The Position

The DevOps Engineer plays a key role in supporting and advancing sg360°’s cloud infrastructure and development operations within an agile environment. This position is responsible for building, managing, and automating AWS infrastructure, while contributing to ongoing technical research and innovation. The DevOps Engineer ensures that applications and cloud environments align with organizational standards and effectively support both internal teams and external partners. In this role, the DevOps Engineer partners with project teams during the initiation and planning phases of projects, helping define technical requirements, assess benefits, and establish overall strategy. Responsibilities include conducting research and development throughout the project lifecycle, performing technical analysis and design, and supporting operations teams in testing and deploying solutions. This position also plays a critical role in bridging development and production by facilitating smooth transitions, supporting deployment activities, and ensuring operational readiness. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering teams, with a strong focus on AWS infrastructure, automation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language (Java preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing and DevOps principles and practices.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement and protect company trade secrets.

Responsibilities

  • Support SG360° users and production systems to ensure continuous, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and tools that meet defined specifications.
  • Write, debug, and enhance code using Agile development methodologies.
  • Participate in design, architecture, and build phases to deliver high-quality technical solutions in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Analyze problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate actions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Work independently on routine tasks with general supervision, escalating complex or non-routine issues as needed.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, implementing both immediate fixes and long-term solutions.
  • Communicate effectively by gathering, documenting, and sharing relevant technical and project information with stakeholders.
  • Deploy, automate, manage, and maintain AWS cloud-based production systems.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, scalability, and security across AWS environments.
  • Manage system creation, configuration, and release processes.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and resolve issues across multiple platforms and application domains.
  • Support pre-production testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and metrics solutions within AWS.
  • Apply cloud security best practices to safeguard systems and data.
