About The Position

The Boeing Company, specifically the BDS Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Ground and Mission Systems Engineering (GMSE) division, is seeking a DevOps Developer (Experienced or Senior) to join their Engineering Analytics team in Seal Beach, California. This division focuses on creating next-generation products and services for the BDS business unit, serving both commercial and proprietary customers in space technology development. The team emphasizes rapid prototyping for mission-focused technologies and is involved in all engineering aspects, from concept development to product demonstration. The Associate DevOps Developer will be part of a high-performing team engaged in high-intensity development projects, working on proprietary programs for U.S. government customers involved in national security missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Ansible software platform
  • Experience with Terraform software
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

Nice To Haves

  • Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Packer, Nessus, and Trivy DevSecOps tools
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS), cert-manager, Harbor, Postgres, and Windows
  • Experience with Shell and Python Scripting
  • Experience working with Government customers
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern DevSecOps / GitOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines, automated configuration/testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities
  • Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources
  • Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, incorporating automation, metrics, and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability
  • Automate, develop, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot across development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls
  • Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers
