As part of the uncooled detector (focal plane array) research and development team, the successful candidate will have responsibility for design and modeling of microbolometers. This includes understanding of wafer fabrication processes which build next-generation infrared detectors (microbolometers). Candidate will design and model new bolometer structures and methods of bolometer construction. Design and modeling will include analytical modeling and finite-element modeling for mechanical, structural, electrical, and electro-optical aspects of the microbolometer. Implantation of models and matching experimental results to models is a critical part of the job. This is the right place for a self-directed, goal-oriented, collaborative scientist or engineer. The work is varied and challenging where creative problem solving opportunities are many. Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and fun. The work environment is mixed general office and clean room/lab.
