Device RN | Cardiology Pacer
About The Position
CentraCare is hiring a Device Registered Nurse in the Heart & Vascular Center. The nurse provides care for patients with cardiac devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators, by performing device checks, analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and educating patients on device management. The role works alongside RNs, Cardiac Device Technicians, physicians, and advanced practice providers to deliver cardiovascular care. The position is based onsite at St. Cloud Hospital and is scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays and holidays. Pay is based on experience and degree, with a stated range of $44.57 to $74.37 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Minnesota RN license.
- BSN or higher required within 36 months of hire.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Two years of experience working in cardiovascular disease, with knowledge of Saint Cloud Hospital's cardiovascular disease program.
- Sufficient knowledge to recognize abnormal laboratory data and diagnostic testing results that require reporting to physicians.
- Strong foundation in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Self-motivation, organization, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- One year of recent cardiology work, such as critical care nursing, heart catheterization, or emergency room experience.
