About The Position

Walmart is hiring Developmental Technicians specializing in General Facilities and Maintenance to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of its stores, equipment, and fixtures. Under the guidance of the local General Maintenance Manager, technicians follow established schedules and guidelines to perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs. Primary responsibilities are assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.

The salary range is $43,680–$58,240. Individual compensation depends on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and job-related considerations. An additional bonus may be available and will be disclosed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Be able to move up and down ladders frequently and be comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods.
• Be able to work in various temperatures.
• Maintain an excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
