About The Position

This position supports statewide planning, coordination, and evaluation of programs that serve individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. As a Developmental Disabilities Program Representative, you will perform the following duties: Policy Research: Review laws and regulations to understand their impact on individuals with developmental disabilities. Grant Coordination: Prepare work statements, review grantee reports, and provide technical assistance to funded projects. Program Monitoring: Evaluate statewide projects and recommend actions that support the Developmental Disabilities Council goals and objectives. Community Outreach: Assist individuals and families in connecting with community services and specialized supports. Collaboration Work: Take part in statewide groups and coalitions that plan or influence disability-related policies. Training Support: Participate in trainings and help develop materials that support the council programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human services program that includes one year of experience in the development or implementation of programs serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience in the development or implementation of programs serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
