About The Position

The Developmental Baseball Coach program at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) is designed to offer aspiring coaches hands-on experience within a Division I baseball program. Participants will support the Ole Miss Baseball coaching staff across various aspects of the program, including game planning, practice preparation, data analysis, and recruiting. The program also includes a structured professional development curriculum.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Related experience and education may be considered on a 1:1 substitution basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of video cut-ups, scouting reports, charts, and playbook materials for coaches.
• Support opponent advance scouting to identify tendencies, pitch patterns, formations, and areas of weakness.
• Conduct self-scouting and internal film review to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare data reports, graphs, charts, and statistical profiles to aid coaching strategy and decision-making.
• Assist with practice planning and game-day operations, including charting, organization, communication, and logistics support.
• Support recruiting efforts through talent evaluation, recruiting research, and prospect tracking.
• Assist with other baseball operations and program support tasks as assigned by the coaching staff.
