About The Position

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join their team at The Children's Hospital. This role involves providing clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues. The position also includes community outreach to schools, childcare programs, and parent groups supporting the special needs population. The hospital is a state-designated acute care children's hospital offering a full range of pediatric specialized healthcare services for newborns through young adulthood. The team includes specialists such as pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, child psychologists, pediatricians, audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers. The system is committed to patient-centered care and serving the communities.

Requirements

  • Fellowship trained in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
  • MD or DO
  • New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues.
  • Engage in community outreach to schools, childcare programs, and parent groups supporting the special needs population.
  • Provide individualized care to 3 new and 5 follow-up patients per day.
  • Serve patients 0-18 years of age across Middlesex County, NJ.
  • Build your practice and co-partner with a renowned Chief of Developmental Pediatrics.
  • Engage in academic involvement with pediatric residents and students from two affiliated medical schools.
