Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for helping ensure the fundraising department meets its targets by providing data-oriented support. Specific areas include: processing donations, updating donor information, corresponding via telephone, and email with donors. Requirements

  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws

  • Is self-motivated with a desire to serve and do all things with excellence
  • Adjusts to changes in environment or schedule while maintaining a joyful attitude
  • Possess current driver’s license and able to drive company vehicles as needed
  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience required
  • Excellent communication and written skills, including spelling and grammar.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Able to organize and prioritize when handling multiple projects.
  • Able to work individually and on a team, and persist through projects to completion with regular interruptions.
  • Ability to control and handle confidential details efficiently, including strong data entry and typing skills.
  • Personal characteristics required: spiritually mature, achievement-oriented, persuasive in communications, innovative, and analytical thinker.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the Salesforce database or a similar database is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gift processing and compliance.
  • Entering donations into Salesforce while meeting set deadlines. These include online, check third-party, and indirect donations.
  • Performing weekly and monthly reconciliation
  • Supporting the Annual audit process
  • Creating the End-of-Year statements
  • Provide customer service and donor support
  • Answering phone calls, provide statements as requested, and update payment types
  • Thank-you calls or notes for first-time givers without a Development Rep
  • Provide Salesforce and Data Management
  • Maintaining and updating the Salesforce database
  • Pull Salesforce reports as needed
  • Create appeal lists for various projects
  • Assist with department projects
  • Assist with Capital, Scholarship, and Legacy-related projects
  • Put together the end of year gift mailing
  • Assists with the procurement and processing of Closing Ceremony gifts
  • Responsible for other tasks as directed.
