About The Position

The Development Specialist will ensure a smooth and effective operation of applications, including application and database testing and QA. This role involves maintaining and updating technical documents, processes, and procedures, and providing technical support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues. The specialist will also monitor scheduled jobs, support end users, identify opportunities for process improvement, and contribute to departmental initiatives. Additionally, the role requires resolving system problems during non-business hours or backlogs by providing off-hours support as needed, assisting with application integrations, and automating manual processes when feasible. Cross-training to other team members within the department and credit union is also a responsibility, along with staying updated on any application updates, enhancements, or new features.

  • Financial institution experience

  • Knowledge and experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power Automate
  • Basic knowledge of programming concepts like control flow, functions, and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Knowledge of the credit union’s banking systems, including but not limited to DNA, CCM, and Q2, is a plus
