Development Scientist I
About The Position
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a global leader in clinical diagnostics, is seeking a Development Scientist I to join their Lumigen Research and Development Department in Southfield, MI. This on-site role is responsible for executing laboratory protocols and test procedures to support project objectives, accurately documenting results, maintaining records, making observations, and preparing data for analysis. The scientist will perform assigned tasks to support project teams and departmental operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex problems and analyzing/communicating experimental results to a multifunctional, multisite project team. Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is an operating company of Danaher, focused on innovating for tangible impact in life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- 0-2 years of relevant scientific experience
- Experience with general organic chemistry research techniques
- Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work efficiently to meet project timelines and departmental goals
