About The Position

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Development at Cal Poly Maritime, the Development Operations Analyst provides support for day-to-day operations for the development and alumni functions. This position will support CRM and database functions, including gift processing and producing reports for internal and external audiences. The incumbent will work across university divisions related to alumni, donors, and external constituents. The Development Operations Analyst can prioritize both day-to-day responsibilities and long-term projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

Working knowledge of general administrative practices, program operations, and/or administrative specialty areas; basic knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts and methods.
Ability to learn, interpret, communicate, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty, including University infrastructure.
Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis; ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques.
Ability to analyze situations accurately, draw sound conclusions, develop recommendations, and adopt an effective course of action.
Ability to work effectively in an environment with multiple data sources, data definitions, and processes for obtaining data; working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn University-specific database programs (e.g., Blackbaud RENXT) and other information systems.
