Development Manager - Product Teams

Orbus Software
•Remote

About The Position

Lead one or two fully remote, cross-functional software development teams building and evolving OrbusInfinity, Orbus Software’s flagship enterprise SaaS product. This is a hands-off leadership role: Technical Leads own day-to-day technical decisions, while the Development Manager coaches and enables the teams, supports sound decisions, and ensures effective delivery processes and consistent engineering practices. The role leads 6–12 direct reports and works closely with Product, Engineering, and senior technical leadership. It is based remotely in Poland, with quarterly (maximum) in-person events bringing together teams from across regions. Employment is on a permanent Polish employment contract (umowa o pracę). OrbusInfinity runs natively in Microsoft Azure and uses modern C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, Cosmos DB, SQL, containers, and Kubernetes. Its micro-frontend and microservice architecture is continuously deployed to highly available, multi-region infrastructure. Teams use Scrum, automated CI/CD, shift-left testing, and maintainable, high-quality code practices, with Azure DevOps, Git, and Azure supporting build and release processes. The manager will help teams focus on customer- and product-relevant work, translate goals into priorities and delivery expectations, make dependencies and risks visible, and improve collaboration and ways of working. Day-to-day backlog and delivery management remain with the appropriate roles. The position contributes to product and technology strategy, engineering standards, team development, and continuous improvement.
